A house or apartment rented by multiple housemates who each pay a share of the rent and bills. Common starting point for newcomers.
What newcomers get wrong
Two arrangements look identical but work very differently. On the lease = your name on the tenancy agreement (more protection, harder to leave). Sub-letting from a head tenant = you have no legal tenancy, you can be evicted with no notice. Always ask which you're getting.
