Many awards require employers to pay an extra 17.5% on top of your normal pay while you're on annual leave.
What newcomers get wrong
Not everyone gets it — it depends on the award covering your role. Check your award via the FWO website. If you're on a salary above the award rate, your contract may have absorbed it.
