Student Visa (Subclass 500)
The Subclass 500 is the main visa for international students enrolled in a CRICOS-registered course in Australia.
Who can apply
- You are enrolled (or have an offer) for a full-time CRICOS course.
- You meet the Genuine Student (GS) requirement.
- You have evidence of funds, English proficiency, and OSHC.
Work rights
You can work up to 48 hours per fortnight while your course is in session, and unlimited hours during scheduled breaks.
What to prepare
- Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE)
- Statement of Purpose addressing GS criteria
- OSHC for the full duration
- Evidence of funds (varies by country)
